Saturday – A year in review & outfits
Okay, so if I’m totally honest, overall, I’ve had a pretty pooey 2011. I don’t feel like I can discuss the reasons on here right now but hopefully I’ll be able to in the future. So I’m rather looking forward to 2012 and hope that it will contain all the things that have been missing from 2011.
But I don’t want this post to be all doom and gloom. There have been some high points this year. I revisited San Francisco and Big Sur (and I’m still hungry for more!), I went to Vietnam and I had the most relaxing, peaceful, calm holiday ever to Spain. As well as my travels, we threw a massive party in the summer to celebrate my mother-in-laws 50th birthday which was a lot of fun, my sister got engaged and my sister-in-law fell pregnant with my first niece/nephew and also got engaged. I went to my first ever London Fashion Week. I went to 2 blogger meets and met lots of lovely new people (I’m definitely hoping there’ll be more of those next year!) I went on lots of lovely countryside walks and made the most of my National Trust membership. I got to spend lots of time doing fun stuff with my little sisters and had lots of meals and parties with my friends. We travelled around the country to see family a lot (sadly not always for positive reasons) and I got lots of free doughnuts
This is easily one of my favourite photos of the year – look how tiny I am next to that massive California redwood. I was close to tears that day as I vividly remember watching a show when I was little about redwoods and just thinking that I was never going to get to see them.
I got to visit the incredible Alhambra in Spain
I hope you all have a fantastic New Year’s Eve and I hope that 2012 brings you all health, happiness and fulfils all your expectations and dreams – see you on the other side!
